Abstract:

The PARMIN study aims to reconstitute the lives of the individuals involved in the emerging forms of procuring of minors being seen in a large number of French cities. These individuals (mainly aged between 20 and 30) help the girls (mostly aged between 14 and 20) to set up and organise their activities as prostitutes. PARMIN aims to examine the place of prostitution/procuring in the background of the individuals concerned, whether they are legally considered as perpetrators or victims. The factors liable to have contributed to the individuals getting involved in this activity are identified and, conversely, the weight of this activity on their life course will be brought to light. These life courses will be addressed from the angle of individual biographies and experiences, socio-demographic criteria, life cycle stages and key events, as well as from the point of view of their networks of relations and relationship with the agencies of socialisation (family, school, peers, associations, judicial institutions and child welfare services).
