Abstract:
This project focuses on the visualisation and analysis of networks of interactions in a specific sphere of modern crime. The aim is to lay foundations for and validate an innovative methodology for studying criminal human trafficking networks. The approach is based on the construction, handling and analysis of composite digital information showing the full complexity of such cases, from court records that have led to the definitive conviction of the criminals, to advertisements for “meetings” on classified advertisement sites, the extraction and analysis of which can most probably be automated.
