Description of the course

Lectures and research seminars.
The Labour law and social protection course is designed to train high-level legal officers/advisors specialised in employment law, in and through research. It provides them with in-depth knowledge of the rules making up employment law and social protection law. Backed by the Centre for Comparative Labour and Social Security Law (Centre de droit comparé du travail et de la sécurité sociale, Comptrasec, UMR 5114), the course is intended to lead to a career as a professor or researcher, but also leads to openings in legal professions requiring a specialisation in employment law.

Course aims

To provide students with high-level training in labour law and social protection law, including both the national and the supra-national aspects of the field.
To offer students complementary legal training “in” and “through” research. To enable them to develop and enhance their legal reasoning skills.
